Matthew Weaving, a Life Scout in Troop 277 of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina has begun his Eagle Scout Project. Matthew, with the help of his troop will construct a K-9 Kennel for a new Rock Hill Police K-9 officer and his new bloodhound partner. The kennel will consist of a 12 ft. by 12 ft. concrete pad with a 10 ft. by 10 ft. welded wire kennel, a large dog house, and a metal roofed shelter over the entire kennel. Donations of materials still leave the necessity of raising $500 to see this project completed.
Weaving has teamed up with nationwide 501(c)3 nonprofit Project Paws Alive to accept donations to help complete the project. Since 2012 Project Paws Alive has provided equipment, training, and other vital items to underfunded law enforcement, fire, search & rescue, and military K9s nationwide. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of the donations will go directly to the Rock Hill Police K9 Kennel project by Life Scout in Troop 277 under the leadership of Matthew Weaving.
