The Augusta GreenJackets, Class A Affiliate of the 2012 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants is hosting a Project Paws Alive Day on May 5, 2013 during their Sunday home game against the Asheville Tourists

The event will take place at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, GA. Game time is 2:05 pm, but arrive early for special K-9 demos!

BaseballSpecial tickets are on sale now that include a limited GreenJackets visor. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit Project Paws Alive.

Come early to see a pre-game demonstration from the Richmond County GA Sheriff’s K-9 Unit. Several of the K-9s will also be recognized prior and during the game. Three of the K-9s currently serving on the RCSO K-9 unit are former US Marine K-9s who served in Afghanistan.

For some added fun one of the K-9s will catch the first pitch, and a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office K-9 handler will be singing the national anthem.

Project Paws Alive will have a booth set up on the concourse where fans can learn more about the organization and meet some of the RCSO K-9s.
